Music has always been a constant in my life and is always best shared. Global. Old and new.

For me it is a grounding, and therapeutic tool that has always been necessary in every stage and era I’ve moved through. I can’t write, create, or quite seem to function without it. It creates monumental moments, can weave us through our fondest memories, and even has the power to bring people together.

Lately I've been drawn to music that feels soft around the edges, atmospheric, cinematic, and just the right amount of moody. Every essay seems to have a soundtrack, but lately this particular playlist has been on repeat while I've been writing, editing, and getting lost in creating.

It feels like you are living in your own movie even if for just awhile, which is probably why I keep coming back to it. If you're working on a project where words are getting in the way more than they're helping, this playlist seems to provide the atmosphere without demanding too much attention.

The soundtrack to writing sessions, creative rabbit holes, and convincing myself I'm only editing one more chapter.
